► Course Description

Waterjet Cutting crosses many disciplines: Manufacturing, Graphics, Material Processing, CAD/CAM, Entrepreneurship, Art, etc. Learn how to use a WAZER Desktop Waterjet to create custom sheet metal materials for various applications. Modern waterjet cutters are controlled by CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems with the ability to cut materials such as metals, glass, ceramic, marble, silicone and carbon fiber without increasing the material surface temperature and compromising the material. The WAZER uses WAM on-line software to create cut files for the WAZER – no CNC experience or knowledge needed!

This class will cover creating digital files compatible with a WAZER using CorelDraw™. Each student will have the opportunity to create a project as they learn the waterjet cutting process from start to finish along with problem-solving. Safety skills and waterjet cutting techniques will be addressed.
