GCC, a global forefront equipment-manufacturing provider in the visual-tech industry and distributed nationally to the academic market by TEC, Inc., proudly announces that its user-friendly LaserPro laser engraver is now available in Fab Lab MIT.
Fab Lab is the educational outreach component of MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA), an extension of its research into digital fabrication and computation. A Fab Lab is a technical prototyping platform for innovation and invention, providing stimulus for local entrepreneurship. A Fab Lab is also a platform for learning and innovation: a place to play, to create, to learn, to mentor, and to invent. (As cited in the Fab Foundation website)
The raging trend of “making” is spreading globally and GCC is proud to be part of it. Fab Lab MIT set up a GCC LaserPro Spirit GLS laser engraver for Fab users to create more innovative items. “We are very glad to have this opportunity to work with Professor Neil Gershenfeld and have GCC LaserPro GLS available in the Fab Lab MIT,” said Joan Kang, the product manager of GCC. “With powerful and easy-to-use software, GCC LaserPro GLS is no doubt a great tool for Fab Lab users or self-made makers to bring their ideas to life.”
